The organization describes its workplace as “positive, safe and inclusive,” and it boasts about the value it gives to work-life balance.
Besides this, the AGCO provides its employees with programs that aid their professional and personal development so that they can progress in their careers as well as their well-being.
The AGCO CEO and Registrar, Dr. Karin Schnarr, stated the following about their people-first approach.
“A people-first organization involves being innovative, proactive, inclusive and socially responsible. It’s making sure people feel comfortable here so they can voice their opinions and thrive with excellence.”
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario also prides itself on promoting a learning and coaching culture. This means that the organization puts the work back into their employees by learning together and teaching each other. Their coaching program is a prime example of how they hold themselves accountable for the improvement of their employees at every level.
Senior Eligibility Officer at the AGCO, Abha Ghuman, had this to say about the authority being awarded this honour.
