Betsson has acquired an iGaming licence from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) for its brand Betsafe earlier this week.
Betsafe will have an online casino platform as well as a sports betting platform available for Ontario players. The platforms will be operating using the Strive Gaming Platform. Strive Gaming is also part of Betsson’s company.
Ontario players will be able to use Betsafe by accessing it through its website, ot.betsafe.com or through mobile apps.
Pontus Lindwall, Betsson’s president and chief executive stated the following about this new launch:
“We are convinced that there are great opportunities for Betsson in Ontario in both the B2C and B2B channels as we bring a highly competitive offering to the market.”
This new licence approval and launch come right after Betsson announce a record-breaking performance during their fourth quarter. This led them to have the best year in terms of performance.
