And we’re back with another iGaming Ontario Fiscal Year Report that represents what the market has achieved by Q3. This report covers all the data gained from October 1 to December 31, 2023.Â
We have seen a steady increase in revenue since the launch of the Ontario market, which highlights the organic growth of the market. A 21% increase in total wagers from Q2 to Q3 translates to a total of $17.2B in wagers, and a 22% increase in total revenue from Q2 until the end of Q3 translates to $658M in revenues. That $658M includes a lot of fees that magnify this figure. There are tournament fees, rake fees, and many other fees that operators must pay to run their business.
By the end of Q3, there were 72 gaming websites and 49 operators providing online casino services to Ontario residents, and there were 1.2M players with active accounts at these 72 gaming websites at the end of Q3. In this case, the accounts correspond to the cash activity that took place during the Q3 period of the year. With those accounts, players were spending around $186.
You may be asking yourself how much of the total revenue, $658M, comes from your favourite casino games. Slots, live casinos, table games and bingo account for a whopping $471 million (71%).
Have a look at the numbers yourself in these images that iGaming Ontario (IGO) published this year.Â
