Gates of Olympus 1000 Symbols and Payouts

Let’s start simple for our Gates of Olympus 1000 review, and first go over all of the game’s basics: symbols, scatter pays, payouts, RTP and volatility, maximum win amount, and autoplay functions.

Game Symbols

Like the original, Gates of Olympus 1000 has nine core symbols: a Crown, Hourglass, Ring, and Chalice, followed by five differently shaped and colored gems: a red pentagon, a purple inverted triangle, a yellow hexagon, a green upright triangle, and a blue diamond. There is also a Scatter symbol.

Scatter pays

Like its predecessor, Gates of Olympus 1000 is a scatter-pay game: symbols do not match paylines but payout anywhere on the large 6 reels by 5 rows board. Payouts

The symbols payout, from highest to lowest, in this order: the Crown, Hourglass, Ring, Chalice, red gem, purple gem, yellow gem, green gem, and, lastly, the blue gem. The Scatter symbol also pays. Min/Max bet

The minimum bet for Gates of Olympus 1000 is $0.20, and the maximum bet is $100 without the Bonus Bet, but $125 with it. This range is reasonable, even if the minimum could be a bit lower and the maximum a bit higher to expand the player pool.

RTP and Volatility

Gates of Olympus 1000 has, like the original Gates title, an RTP of 96.5% and a similarly high volatility as well. The RTP changes to 96.49% if the player activates the Bonus Buy feature.

First, the player receives a payout for hitting the Scatters. Then, players begin the bonus round, which starts with 15 free spins. An additional 5 free spins are added to the bonus round for hitting another 3 Scatter symbols at any point during the round. Any Multiplier symbols that hit during the bonus are held for the duration of the round and added together and applied at the end of the bonus round. If it isn’t broke, then don’t fix it, and Pragmatic Play avoids trying to outdo itself by giving players exactly what they all fell in love with the first time around.
